Michelle's specialty is starting young horses "from the ground." She gives yearlings & up a thorough foundation of knowledge, before introducing a rider on their back. 

This approach takes the guess work away for the horse, and allows the trainer & owner to safely progress from ground work to under saddle work. Michelle is also gifted with troubleshooting problem areas often seen in mature riding horses. Training with Michelle is conducted on an hourly basis, with the ability to schedule specific days/times for training throughout the month. SHC has been pleased to offer training for our clients with Michelle for over 6 years.

ANN HARDING  

Ann Harding of Holden Sporthorses has been riding, training and showing for over 30 years in hunters, jumpers and equitation over fences and as well as dressage. She has started many young horses, both her own horses and for clients.

Ann believes in positive encouragement in the process of learning for both horses and riders. Keeping horses and riders happy and relaxed add to the enjoyment of this great sport.

Ann specializes in the re-education and redevelopment of horses. She has owned several off the track thoroughbreds, and understands that many of these great athletes have physical and mental adjustments to overcome. In addition to these fine horses, Ann has also started, trained and shown warmbloods over fences and in dressage.
